A New Chapter for the Wine Program at Dante
Wine has always been central to how we gather.
For years, we offered half-price wine nights — and they were fun. They brought energy into the room and gave people a reason to open bottles they might not otherwise try. But over time, we realized something: the format kept the focus on familiar labels rather than discovery.
We wanted to shift the conversation.
Starting March 2, we’re introducing a Featured Wine Program — a rotating weekly selection of limited bottles offered at a set price. These aren’t clearance wines or afterthoughts. They’re bottles we are genuinely excited about. Some are rare allocations. Some are personal favorites. Some are simply wines that deserve a moment in the spotlight.
When they’re gone, they’re gone.
The list refreshes every Monday.
The goal is simple: create more opportunities for exploration, conversation, and connection around the table.
Featured Wines
March 2 – March 8
This week’s lineup leans heavily into Italy — structured reds, vibrant whites, and bottles that speak clearly of place.
2023 Gavi, Dante – Piemonte — $45
Bright, mineral-driven, and clean. This Gavi delivers crisp citrus, green apple, and subtle almond notes with refreshing acidity. It’s a natural partner for seafood, lighter antipasti, or simply an afternoon glass at the bar.
2021 Langhe Rosato “La Lupa,” San Fereolo – Piemonte — $44
Textured and expressive, this is not your typical rosé. “La Lupa” carries red berry fruit, savory undertones, and structure that allows it to stand up to food. A bottle that bridges seasons beautifully.
2022 Falerno di Massico Primitivo “PrimoAntico,” Cantina Trabucco – Campania — $50
Full-bodied and generous, made from an ancient clone of Primitivo (better known as Zinfandel). Dark fruit, warmth, and southern Italian character define this wine. It’s bold but balanced — built for wood-fired cooking and long dinners.
We’re especially excited about this bottle as Danilo Trabucco will be joining us for a special dinner on March 18.
2021 Valpolicella Superiore “Casal Vegri,” Ca’ la Bionda – Veneto — $65
Elegant and lifted, with vibrant red fruit, spice, and beautiful structure. This is Valpolicella with depth and restraint — a wine that rewards slow sipping.
2017 Barolo Riserva Lazzarito, Ettore Germano – Piemonte — $170
A serious bottle from one of Barolo’s most revered crus. Structured, layered, and built to age, with notes of dried rose, tar, cherry, and earth. A rare opportunity to open something truly special at the table.
Why the Change?
We believe wine should feel alive — not static.
The Featured Wine Program allows us to:
- Highlight small producers and meaningful bottles
- Offer limited allocations at compelling prices
- Encourage guests to try something new
- Keep the list dynamic and seasonal
It also reflects how we cook — responsive, ingredient-driven, and rooted in tradition but always evolving.
If you’ve joined us before, you know that some of the best nights happen when someone says, “Let’s open that one.”
We hope this new program creates more of those moments.
Pull up a chair.
The fire’s on.
